Create and manage DNS records
Add A, AAAA, CNAME, MX and TXT records using Managed DNS.
OXWritten by oXnames SupportChecked against the current Knox workflow
WHERE TO GO IN YOUR ACCOUNTKnox > Domains > Select domain > DNS management
Get the right details ready
Managed DNS must be enabled and the domain must use the required oXnames nameservers. Copy the current records before changing the zone.
Security first. Never include account passwords, card details or authentication codes in a support ticket.
FOLLOW THESE STEPS
Make the change in Knox
Work through each step in order. Keep this guide open in another tab if that is easier.
- 1
Open the domain and choose DNS management.
- 2
Select Add record and choose the correct record type.
- 3
Enter the host, target and priority where required.
- 4
Save the zone and verify the record after propagation.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Check that it worked
The record appears in the DNS list immediately; public resolvers update according to DNS caching.
IF IT DOES NOT LOOK RIGHT
Try this before contacting support
Use @ for the root domain where shown. MX records require a mail host and priority, while CNAME records cannot normally share a host with other record types.
