WHERE TO GO IN YOUR ACCOUNTKnox > Domains > Select domain > Nameservers
Get the right details ready
Check that you selected the correct domain. DNS and contact changes can affect websites and email, so keep a copy of the current values before editing them.
Security first. Never include account passwords, card details or authentication codes in a support ticket.
FOLLOW THESE STEPS
Make the change in Knox
Work through each step in order. Keep this guide open in another tab if that is easier.
- 1
Open Domains and select the domain.
- 2
Choose Nameservers and review the current values.
- 3
Enter the new nameservers exactly as supplied by the provider.
- 4
Save the change and allow time for DNS propagation.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Check that it worked
The new nameservers are submitted to the registry. Normal propagation can take several hours and occasionally up to 48 hours.
IF IT DOES NOT LOOK RIGHT
Try this before contacting support
Nameservers must be hostnames such as ns1.example.com, not IP addresses or website URLs.
