Website hosting stores the files and databases that make your website work. Email hosting provides mailboxes for addresses on your domain. Our shared web hosting plans include email accounts, so you can run both under one hosting plan, subject to its storage and resource limits.

Domain registration is separate unless your order explicitly includes a domain offer. You can register a new domain with oXnames or use one you already own. Check registration and renewal costs alongside the hosting billing period before completing your order.

Yes. You can connect a domain registered elsewhere by updating the appropriate DNS records. Before changing nameservers, make a record of any existing email or third-party services so their settings can be preserved. Ask our team if you are unsure which records to change.

No, not simply to use the email accounts included with your web hosting plan. Separate email hosting is an alternative when you need its particular mailbox allowances or want email independently of your website. Compare the services or ask us to help choose.

You can use WordPress on a suitable web hosting plan. If you want a visual website builder, check the available add-on and its price during ordering. Hosting does not include a custom website design service, and optional software or licences may have separate costs.

Use the IMAP and SMTP settings supplied for your hosting service in a compatible email app. The correct server name, ports and security settings are shown in your service details or available from support. Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft 365 software subscriptions are not included simply by buying a mailbox.

Add together your website files, databases and the messages and attachments you want to keep. Leave room for growth and confirm how your chosen plan measures usage. A high mailbox allowance does not remove the overall storage limit. Tell us your current usage if you would like help choosing.

Contact us before ordering so we can check your current provider, website software, access and mailbox sizes. Moving a website and copying email are separate tasks, and the scope and any charges depend on the setup. Keep your old hosting active until the new service has been tested.

Yes. Website and email records can point to different providers. Preserve the email provider’s MX and authentication records when connecting your website. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace remain separate subscriptions with their own features and pricing.

Use unique passwords and encrypted connections, and configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC for the services that send email for your domain. These records help receiving systems assess legitimate messages, but do not guarantee inbox delivery. The help centre and our support team can guide you through your setup.

Sign in to Knox to see your services, orders, invoices and support conversations. Website and included-mailbox settings are accessed through the tools provided with your web hosting service. Our separate email-hosting service has its own Knox mailbox controls.
